Asianbangla, Dhaka : uring a mad race between two buses for passengers, one of the drivers slammed on the brakes near the ramp of the Airport Road flyover adjacent to the Armed Forces Medical College in Kurmitola. Asianbangla, Dhaka : Drug dealers are now smuggling yaba from Myanmar into Bangladesh through the Indian border with three districts in greater Sylhet using Mizoram, Meghalaya and Assam as the conduit route. The crazy medicine first enters Mizoram, a northeastern state of India, through hill roads and then makes its way to Assam and Meghalaya states in cars, buses or motorbikes. He believed his daughter Dia Khanam Mim would one day realise her dream of becoming a banker. Asian Bangla, Gazipur : The ‘human hauler’ vehicle, allegedly crushed and vandalised by BNP men and for which a case had been filed too, stands in perfect condition in front of the Tongi police station in Gazipur. The High Court stayed the Gazipur City Corporation polls for three months on Sunday following a writ petition seeking postponement by an Awami League man. The police filed a case naming 103 persons in connection with vandalising a human hauler and sabotage on Monday. Asianbangla Desk : Reporters Sans Frontières criticised the Information and Communication Technology Act in Bangladesh saying that media self-censorship is growing as a result of the endemic violence against journalists and media outlets in the country. Releasing its annual World Press Freedom Index 2018 today, Reporters Without Borders said, “In 2017, at least 25 journalists and several hundred bloggers and Facebook users were prosecuted under the Information and Communication Technology Act, which penalizes online content that is regarded as defamatory or blasphemous.” According to the Index, Bangladesh’s position remains unchanged at 146th place like previous year with 48.62 points.
